FOOD MANUFACTUING/PRODUCTION 

As a Production Supervisor at Taylor Nicole Professionals, you will play a pivotal role in leading a dedicated team of 20-40 employees in our food manufacturing operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that production objectives are met efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. You will oversee daily operations, manage production schedules, and ensure that all materials are available to meet customer demands.

Position Summary

The position is responsible for overseeing the production department. This position will be responsible for all safety compliance and ensure the personal and physical safety of employees. Manufacturing different products on schedule and meeting the Food safety, quality, regulatory compliance and customer specification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Direct and lead a crew of 20-40 employees. Supervises and schedules production and processing personnel daily, to accomplish production objectives in an efficient manner that meets customer expectations.
  • Request or print weekly and daily batch card and manage production schedule according to customer requirement or sale orders.
  • Ensures that there are adequate quantities of materials to meet planned production schedules. Daily communication with Materials Management coordinator or purchasing to ensures customer requirements are met. Order and maintain inventories.
  • Observes operations and assures schedules are being met daily and safety standards are maintained. Submits daily reports summarizing production operations.
  • Inspects and tests production and processing line set ups daily to ensure proper operation of all equipment.
  • Collaborates with maintenance department on daily servicing and/or modifications to facilities and equipment, as required, to operate at peak efficiency.
  • Arranges for the cleaning and sanitation of production and processing facilities and maintains an acceptable level of housekeeping and sanitation with the department, to meet CGMP's.
  • Coordinates with other departments daily, as they apply to production and processing to accomplish daily and weekly objectives.
  • Develops and trains employees in the operation of the production and processing department to be certain employees are properly trained and back-up employees are available.
  • Develops methods and procedures with input from employees that assure standardized performance of specific production functions. Monitors the procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Day to day QC and sanitation operations for both facilities which includes management of QC Staff.
  • Oversee the monitoring of the Food Safety program including all ongoing verifications
  • Maintains all verifications/validations as required by SQF Code.
  • Maintains and updates product documentation for compliance and accuracy
  • Composes and reviews product specifications, documents and other material for compliance.
  • Conducts, organizes, and coordinates all new and existing product rollout processes and procedures.
  • Composes and reviews finished product documentation
  • Composes and verifies material for accuracy and compliance
  • Oversees review and approval for all new pre-printed labeling material upon arrival to facility.
  • Oversees the management of any updates to formula numbers, product codes, UPCs, Kosher/Halal status, production allergen spreadsheets, and other material.
  • Supports Training and maintain all training records for critical food safety and quality requirements, and for meeting Federal, State, and Local regulations. Document and maintain training registry for all employees at the manufacturing site.
  • Oversee monitoring, verification, and validation activities to ensure that all products leaving the facility(s) meet quality standards.
  • Reassess SQF plan whenever there is a change to program, process, procedure, ingredients, equipment, industry philosophy, technology, etc.
  • Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity of the SQF system.
  • Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring.
  • Promotes a safe work environment and leads by example. Demonstrates a commitment to a safe workplace for all. Ensures that staff are informed of corporate safety requirements and that safety is a priority in day-to-day functions.
  • Manage operations to maintain the highest rating possible on all audits and inspections.
  • Develops and implements new methods, procedures, and systems to improve quality and food safety performance, determine and implement corrective actions.
  • Develops and maintains training and development programs that support key performance goals for the department, as well as provide a satisfying and rewarding work environment for employees.
  • Lead, motivate and develop production personnel to achieve outstanding results. Effectively conduct team meetings.
  • Effectively communicates organization and policy changes.
  • Perform daily facility walk-throughs. Take action to correct any nonconformance with respect to GMPs, Safety, maintenance, and SOPs.
  • Make suggestions for process improvements to improve efficiency, quality, or Food Safety to the Operations Manager and Director of Operations.
  • Perform related duties as required. Related duties, as required, are duties that may not be specifically listed in the Position Description but are within the general occupational series and responsibility level typically associated with the employee’s classification of work.
